What is happening?

Kingfisher Primary School is being totally rebuilt: the same great school, but with brand-new facilities. The school will form a big part of the new Smith's Wood village centre off Arran Way when it is built in a few years' time, and with two classes in each year and lots of community facilities, the school really will be a major boost to the area.

When it will happen?

Building work has already begun on site at Kingfisher Primary School, see our photos on the right, and the school will open in Spring 2009.

Take a look at the Computer Generated Image (CGI) on the right to see what the school will look like!

How to get involved

Pupils and staff were shown several designs and selected their favourite, working with the architects to create a school which is built to last.  Now the school is being built, the only way to get involved is to become part of the school community!
