Lanchester Cluster - Oaklands Development and Park Improvements
Updated 18.08.11
In 2007, as part of the first stage of the North Area Strategy, it was first identified that the North Solihull Partnership should build housing on some of the park which would then fund significant improvements to the rest of the park as well as other regeneration activities.
The designs for the new housing and park improvements evolved through extensive public consultation to include additional parking and an enhanced traffic calming scheme. For more information about the results of the July 2008 consultation Click here.
Following the public consultation, a planning application was submitted to Solihull Council which was approved on the 2nd April 2009. For more information about the planning application and associated documents please Click here to go to Planning Services and type in Ref. 2009/51 to view the Proposed Site Layout Plan for the residential scheme and the Landscape Proposals for the park area.
